About Us

Mountain Shadows Middle School serves students in grades 7 and 8 within the Nuview Union School District. MSMS has an enrollment of approximately 360 students this 2018-2019 year.

In addition to preparing our Cougars for their bright futures with core classes,  we also offer electives such as a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math), CAN (Cougar Action Network), ASB, Yearbook and several clubs. Mountain Shadows Middle School also works closely and offers several year around sports with the Creative Brain After School Program.

Mountain Shadows Middle School is pleased to announce that the Nuview Union School District has launched a 1:1 Chromebook initiative for all 7th and 8th graders beginning with the 2016-17 school year.

A Message from the Transportation Department

For the past couple of weeks, our transportation department has been doing the best they can to provide our students with a safe ride home. We have recently experienced a wave of mechanical issues that have sent a few of our buses to be repaired. This leaves our small fleet shorthanded, so we have had to combine routes and have made switches to accommodate each school. Our Transportation Supervisor and Bus Drivers are all working together to make sure your students are provided with the best quality of service under the circumstances. We recently received a grant for 5 new buses so we hope to get those operational in the next few weeks. In the meantime, there may be more delays, especially in the afternoons. We appreciate your cooperation and support.

Tuesday Tutoring

Want some tutoring help or stay for an after school club? Now you can every Tuesday and still have a ride home! The Activity Bus leaves MSMS every Tuesday at 3:45 pm. Be sure to make arrangments with your teacher before Tuesday and be signed into a club, teacher meeting OR the library in order to ride.

Arts and Crafts Club

Meet in room 12. If you are interested in both clubs, you can attend both! Just ask Mrs. Niffen or Miss Richards for more info.
